Thailand CC clinched Bangkok Cricket League - BCL Premier Division 2022-23 championship, defeating Bangkok Blues CC by 112 runs. Winning a toss 1st, Thai CC had a bad start losing Austin, Sorawat and Nitish on 31 runs. Later Akshay 96(98) stitched the inning to made sure Thai CC reach to 197/10 in 38 overs. From Blues, Jandre and Mayur took 4 wkts and Mukesh got 2 crucial wkts. The wicket was 2 pace and every odd ball was keeping low. This made Akshay inning so special. The chase of Blues started and wickets kept on falling in regular interval. The small resistance from Jandre (28) and Mohnish (19) ended earlier than expected and Thai CC bowlers were all over the place contributing with the ball and the field. Both brothers Kamron and Noppon took 3 wickets each and ended the hopes of Blues to chase the target. Akshay was adjudged POTM for his brilliant inning. |
